He began his musical career as the lead singer of Rosemary, a psychedelic band. Though the band broke up in 2011, Achint continued his musical path, working on and production. He produced his debut solo album, Shalimar, in 2015. The ten-track music album Shalimar featured collaborations with musicians like flutist Naveen Kumar and singer Neeti Mohan. The album blends electronic beats and lyrics by the 17th-century poet Bulleh Shah.
Additionally, Thakkar and P.A. Deepak, a sound engineer well known for his work with A.R. Rahman, mixed the tunes. With vocalists Bhutta Khan and Multan Khan, Thakkar released his second album in 2018, Achint & The Khan Brothers, as a follow-up to Shalimar. The album has a strong Rajasthani folk music influence, and one of the songs, Saavan Mod Muhara, was even used in the movie Taish.
