Avnindra and Padma Bam welcomed Bam into the world on January 22, 1994, in Vadodara, Gujarat, into a Marathi Hindu family. His family eventually relocated to Delhi. He attended Green Fields School in Delhi and earned a bachelor’s degree in history from Shaheed Bhagat Singh College, Delhi University.

Bam began his online career by posting a parody video where he mocked a news reporter for disrespecting a widow who had lost her son in the Kashmir floods. In June 2015, Bam started his own YouTube account after the video became viral in Pakistan. The 2–12 minute videos on the YouTube channel BB Ki Vines show the daily activities of an urban kid and the amusing talks he has with his friends and family, all of whom are portrayed by Bam. 

Bam himself records the videos with a front-facing smartphone camera. He first posted his videos on Facebook before moving them to YouTube. He published the eight-episode web series Dhindora on YouTube in October 2021. He made his OTT debut in January 2023 with Taaza Khabar. He co-starred with Srishti Rindani in the same month’s Rafta Rafta on Amazon miniTV.

In it, he spoke with a milkman, an electrician, a housekeeper, a farmer, a transgender person, a farmer, and a farmer’s helper to learn about the challenges these people are having due to the COVID-19 lockdown in India. Bam was on the cover of Grazia India in January 2020 in association with Puma. He attended the World Economic Forum that same month and was listed in Forbes’ list of the 30 under 30 in the “Digital Content Creators” category the following month.
